THE LIFE OF EDWARD SINA SENU-OKE

Edward Seni Senu-Oke, a leader from his days at Igbobi College, was the Senior Prefect in 1973.  He was born at the Massey Street Children’s Hospital, Ita-Eleiye near Ita Faji, Lagos Island in 1953. He attended Igbobi College between 1967 and 1973 during which he bagged the West African School and Higher School Certificates. He moved to the United States thereafter and was pivotal to the founding of the Igbobi College Old Boys’ Association, North America (ICOBANA) in 1974.

His union with his wife, Dr Helen Senu-Oke has been an extension of the ICOBA family unit as they combined and worked tirelessly to inspire other Old Igbobians’ and spouses in the United States, Canada to form ICOBA-NA and ICOBA-NA Wives Association.  Sina detailed his wife Helen, as the Pioneer Vice Chairman of ICOBA-NA Wives Association to travel at their own expense, to ICOBA UK (later known as ICOBA Europe) to encourage the formation of an ICOBA Europe Wives Association.

Edward Olusina Senu-Oke was instrumental in the funding of the numerous ICOBA-NA projects at Igbobi College, including the renovation of the Dining Hall, construction of the Multi-Purpose Courts and the new renovation of the Chapel.

Rest in Peace Noble Nigerian.
